General information

Course location:

All training sessions take place online. You will receive a Zoom link via e-mail at the end of the booking process. We will do our best to choose optional course times that are friendly to all sides of the globe. If you do not see a timeslot that aligns well with your time zone then please let us know.

Bespoke training:

We are happy to discuss the possibility for bespoke training. Please, contact us if you are interested before you make any booking. For example, we could provide:

  • In person training at your research site for a higher fee. Although, we try to avoid abundant travelling to save time and the planet and may not be able to accommodate every request.
  • The training in a different language than English (i.e., Dutch or Spanish).
  • Training for larger groups than indicated for the services above.
  • Expansion of the training with other topics or activities.

Payment:

You will be prompted with a payment instruction at the end of the booking process. We accept PayPAL, Credit card, and Debit cards. You do NOT need a PayPal account to pay with Credit card: Scroll down on the payment form for the Credit card option. If a payment is not received within 60 minutes the booking will be cancelled. Once payment is received you will receive a payment receipt from Paypal by e-mail. We will send you an invoice of your payment in the following days. You will be paying to Accelting as registered with the Dutch chamber of commerce number #64785300 and VAT number NL001816449B24.

FAQ about Payment:
  1. Question: Do I need a PayPal account? Answer: No, when you scroll down at the payment page you should be able to use a 16 digit credit/debit card.
  2. Question: Can you send an invoice to my research institute directly? Answer: For larger consultancy projects we are accustomed to registering as a supplier to research institutes. However, for the training services as offered on this page we require direct payment upon booking. Only for the private training we can on some occasions make an exception. With bookings coming in from all over the world we would have a lot of overhead filing in the supplier forms, responding to emails, chasing up payments, and risking that some payments may not be processed ahead of the course date. All this overhead would not align well with the relative small fees involved. Instead, when you book a service it is up to you to get the costs reimbursed from your employer. As explained above we will send you an paid invoice as proof of payment.
  3. Question: Why does the booking form not allow me to book? Answer: Please check that you followed the instructions above the form, that all required fields are filled in, and that you are not exceeding your credit card limit. Please contact us if you keep having problems.

Calendar invite and login instructions:

You will receive calendar invites for the three sessions as part of the booking process. Zoom login detail will be send to you once payment has been received.

Certificate:

You will receive a certificate upon course completion.

Cancellation policy:

Booked sessions can be cancelled up to five days before a session starts with the cancellation link that you will receive in your e-mail as part of the booking process. Once you have cancelled your meeting please contact us via training@accelting.com to discuss whether you want the appointment to be rescheduled or to receive a reimbursement.

Testimonials

"The Private Training provided us with the information and resources necessary to confidently use GGIR. Drs. van Hees and Migueles provided opportunity for questions and feedback that allowed us to make adaptations specific to our research projects. They were accessible, transparent, and helpful!"
Dr. Audrey M. Collins
AdventHealth Research Institute - Neuroscience Orlando, Florida, USA
"Attending the GGIR standard training is an essential first step in understanding and processing your raw accelerometry data. While written resources like vignettes are helpful, the small group environment was invaluable for troubleshooting and answering questions. I highly recommend this training!"
Dr. Sarah Burkart
University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health
"I attended the standard GGIR training. Drs van Hees and Migueles provided a completely different training, showing the students all the functionalities available in GGIR, and always ready to answer any questions. The curriculum was based on the latest evidence and supported by examples and activities. I highly recommend it!"
MSc. Pablo Campos (PhD student)
University of Granada - Physical Education and Sport Granada, Spain
"The course was easy to follow, hands-on and well-organized. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to ask personalized questions and receive feedback. I highly recommend the GGIR course to anyone looking to improve their understanding of analysing 24-hour accelerometer data."
Dr. Simone Verswijveren
